Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV)
Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) is an advanced optical measurement technique for non-intrusive analysis of microscopic and macroscopic flow fields in transparent fluids with high resolution.
InnoLas’ solutions for PIV demands include; multiple laser cavities, Four-pulse laser systems, a new pulse train option, and high-speed multi-kilohertz PIV: InnoLas Photonics lasers “NANIO” and “BLIZZ”.
InnoLas Laser sources for Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV)
The vast majority of PIV users trusts in InnoLas Laser’s SpitLight PIV Compact and Standard series. With up to two times 500 mJ double pulses in the green the ultra-compact and robust 10 Hz flash lamp or 100 Hz diode pumped lasers are the base for flexible PIV experiments where the velocity fields are recorded at video rate.
1319 nm Nd:YAG Lasers – High-Energy nanosecond pulses at alternative wavelength
InnoLas succeeded in developing a high power 1319 nm laser with up to 800 mJ pulse energy. The laser is now available with two different resonator types (Multimode and VRM) to match different application requirements.
Trigger on Demand option – Fully variable pulse frequency
The new Trigger on Demand option allows to trigger the laser whenever a pulse is needed. For example, the laser can be triggered in bursts or with gradually varying pulse spacing, allowing to deliver the light pulses to your target in any complex timing scheme.
