The Conference Committee invite and encourage you to attend what promises to be an outstanding 35^th Annual Queensland Mining Industry Health and Safety Conference at The Star, Gold Coast from Sunday 18 to Wednesday 21 August 2024.

With the theme “Back to the future” the Conference will explore if the simplicity of the past can work in harmony with advancements in the present, to navigate safely, a complex and evolving future –

Have technology and futuristic methods simplified our industry for the positive, or introduced new risk?
Will the removal of human interaction dilute our skill in safety and health risk identification?
Is our industry now too complex or exactly where it needs to be on the transformation curve?
Is there a place for the simpler processes of the past to co-exist with new technology and ways of work?
Continuing from last year’s conference theme “Inside looking out”, have we looked outside for learnings when designing and implementing technology and change programs, to ensure we are not repeating mistakes of the past whilst transitioning to the future?
